Can I really build a whole website in 2 days?
Much of the planning & building process will take place BEFORE the workshop. Use the Quick Study Workbook to guide you through setting up your Squarespace site, planning the content for your website and creating the pages you’ll need.
I’m not super tech savvy, can I still use Squarespace?
If you use a computer every day and are comfortable with basic technical tasks (using email and word processing software, social media, generalized apps), you can use Squarespace.
Squarespace is designed with the ease of the ordinary user in mind: you don’t have to write or edit code in order to work with the site. Squarespace has a “what you see is what you get”, drag-and-drop style editor that allows you to see how the changes look as you’re making them. And if you encounter any problems with your site after the workshop is over, Squarespace has excellent customer support to assist you.

What do I need to bring to the workshop?
Your laptop*, a pen & paper, the content (images, graphics, text) for your website. You will also need to sign up for a free account at the Halifax Library in order to connect to the wifi.
